Story

The song tells the story of the Hermit....and our journey through life as we gather experience through our lessons, blessings and enlightenment. The Hermit having made the journey before us, guides and lights the way for those who seek the truth.

BEEN AROUND

Been around

Once, twice

Lush ripe

In the LIFE pronounced

LIVE RIGHT!

How ya doin?

Ain’t changed much since then,

never ends,

It just starts again.

It is said,

That, Truth,

Is!

And It wills out life’s promises,

That were made to be broken,

Slip lip service spoken -

It’s the hussle of life,

And it keeps on………

Going….

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Till the last breath

Whispers not.

Then blows off to

Where it began

Back to when

It will start again.

Is a thought known if it’s not new?

Merging worlds

Split in two

Entering born

Forms passing through

Circulating intuitions

Creation

Is no mating game

Not so profound

Been around before I came

It’s just more of the same

Game

BEEN AROUND

BEEN AROUND

BEEN AROUND

SOUNDS SO CHOICE,

SIMPATICO TURQOUISE NOISE

AN INDIGO MOOD FLOWS,

CABARET SYLE,

FROM THE BITTERSWEET,

HAUNTING HUES,

OF MILES’ MIND.

TONES IN BLUE

BLOWIN’ SMOOTHLY THROUGH

MUTED MAUVE TRUMPETS, EN GROOVE,

HORNS SCREAM

INNOVATIVE AND MODAL THEMES…….

L'Internationale Reconstruct - a reconstruction of:

"The Internationale" (French: "L'Internationale") is a widely sung left-wing anthem. It has been one of the most recognizable and popular songs of the socialist movement since the late 19th century, when the Second International (now the Socialist International) adopted it as its official anthem. The original French refrain of the song is C'est la lutte finale / Groupons-nous et demain / L'Internationale / Sera le genre humain. (English: "This is the final struggle / Let us group together and tomorrow / The Internationale / Will be the human race.") "The Internationale" has been translated into many languages. It is often sung with the left hand raised in a clenched fist salute and is sometimes followed (in English-speaking places) with a chant of "The workers united will never be defeated". "The Internationale" has been celebrated by socialists, communists, anarchists and some social democrats.

The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, a silent horror film by German director Robert Wienewith the Dissident Arts Orchestra led by innovative vibraphonist/leader/composer, John Pietaro. We performed these at The Frost Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn October of 2012 and Battleship in February, 2013. It was totally improvised but conducted by Pietaro with various directives that involved interludes, key changes, and concepts and of course the word that I utilized in my improvisation. It was the first time I had done something like that and I loved it.
